The way morning showed promise of a fine day. I was only going to Fox Glacier and then Ron and I were going to the glacier together. We had ridden this small trail before and we were looking forward to it. Alas it was not to be. The trail was closed. There is no access to the glacier at all.
There were more tour riders today. I passed some on the hills but they are now far ahead of me.
